In todays world a dress circle of people prefer to watch plays that are more of the like base on the 20th century rather than around 16th century plays. Their hatred escalates to a point where neither can coexist with any form of understanding. But when Riffs best promoter (and former Jet) Tony and Bernardos younger sister Maria meet at a dance, no one can do anything to match their love. Maria and Tony begin meeting in secret, planning to push away. Then the Skarks and Jets plan a rumble under the pathway - whoever wins gains control of the streets. Maria s determinations Tony to stop it, hoping it can end the violence. It goes detestably wrong, and before the lovers know whats happened, tragedy strikes and doesnt stop until the climatic and grievous ending.




It is a tragic love story which will bewitch the audiences and will also hold them down to their seats until the end of the play. The course of true love never did run smooth.
