In my opinion, from the outset, defining pietism seems a rather nonsensical task to attempt. By doing so, we make broad assumptions and make statements active what is and isnt so. We need to do this to try and understand roughlything which is, for the few part, a somewhat intangible concept. By attempting to define religion, we function it within our realm of conceptions. However, once we overhear formulated these definitions, we consequently cannot help but find that we have put in place boundaries which are not necessarily cohesive crossways the breadth, depth and the unexplainable of religion. In my opinion, all cultures have some form of religion inside them. How we best define religion so as to encompass all the diverse of humanity? All religions include beliefs that some kind of spiritual or supernatural powers exist. Religion is the belief in and worship of a god or gods, or a set of beliefs concerning the course and purpose of the universe. It is commonly regarded as consisting of a persons relation to God or to gods or spirits. Many religions have narratives, symbols, traditions and sacred histories associated with their deity or deities, that are mean to give way meaning to life. They tend to derive morality, ethics, spectral laws or a preferred lifestyle from their ideas about the cosmos and human nature.



The vocalise religion is sometimes used interchangeably with faith or belief system, but it is more than private belief and has a public aspect. Most religions have organized behaviors, congregations for prayer, priestly hierarchies, consecrate places and scriptures. The development of religion has taken antithetic forms in different cultures. Some religions place greater emphasis on belief, some on practice. Some emphasize the subjective experience of the religious individual, some the activities of the community. Some religions are said to be universalistic, intending their claims to be binding on everyone, in contrast to ethnic religions, intended only for one group.
