While increment up I went to church occasionally but as I grew older I definitely didnt fancy it regularly. Therefore I wasnt too educated in biblical history or even grew up animated to learn nearly(predicate) religion in my life because I didnt know overmuch about it. In chapter eight, cardinal of the most raise things I read about was that Christianity came about from a reformation of Judaism through Christ. A second interesting thing I learned about in this chapter was that deliveryman was crucified by the Roman empire because he was a brat to imperial stability, and last but not least I also learned that Christianity was not allowed to be practiced in the Roman Empire until 313 c.e. when the Edict of Milan was passed. I found these points in the reading very interesting and I was able to witness some great insight to religion.
The first thing I learned was that Christianity in truth spawned from the reformation of Judaism. This was interesting to read about because I never knew that Jesus was Jewish and that he was actually a reformer of the faith, not just a Christian. When I used to go to church as a midget girl I didnt pay attention much and neither did I comprehend much that I was taught.
I al tracks thought that the two were entirely separate religions. The discussion section stated that Jesus mission was to complete Hebrew lawfulness and fulfill the lessons of the prophets. This then led me to read about the crucifixion of Jesus.
I had always thought that Jesus was crucified by the Jewish people but it was in fact the Roman Empire who crucified him. The Pharisees and Sadducees accused him of not following the Jewish law because they mat that what he shared with the people was going against the traditional Jewish scripture and they felt that he deserved to be punished. I found this very unfair, just because Jesus had his own way of going about things and it wasnt their way they felt that he was wrong.
