However Britain felt that Germany should be allowed to arm as they believed the treaty of Versailles was unfair to Germany and felt that Germany rearming would act as a buffer against communism. However the Saar plebiscite was not such a big threat as it was within the terms of the treaty as more or less of the German nation voted for that specific terra firma to be given back to Germany.
Remilitarisation of the Rhineland
Remilitarisation of the Rhineland helped cause World War 2 because it was once again against the treaty of Versailles. France did not want Germany to be able to build up even so Britain were not so cautious about Hitler re-arming and so did not oppose him as they believed that Germany should be allowed to re-arm.
