Fry, hits, blotter, tabs, and white-lightening, are most of the most slang terms when referring to lysergic acid diethylamide. Lysergic acid diethylamide, or LSD, is a liquid which alters the mind and body causing hallucinations, body lofty and an altered mood. LSD was used as an experimental curative dose from 1949 until the mid-1960s when it then became an illegal drug, due to the drug being sired and operable on the streets for the youth to abuse. Many supporters or participants of LSD assisted therapy believe the drug was banned of healthful use before abundant research was done on it and the effectiveness of these curative uses were not taken seriously enough when the drug was banned. The use of LSD in therapy showed promising results and at that place are still many supporters who are trying to occupy drug deemed legal for experimental use in therapy, yet many have concerns with the youth to have it available to them or the drug getting out on the streets more good than it is now. Many drugs, illegal or prescription, are easily available to the youth in the streets, but the beneficial effects of LSD as a therapeutic drug will produce such promising results that the advantages will overpower the disadvantages.

LSD was first synthesized in 1938 by Albert Hofmann in the Sandoz chemical-pharmaceutical laboratories in Basle, Switzerland. He accidently stumbled upon this compound LSD-25 while studying ergot derivatives from fungi in recite to obtain compounds with the best therapeutic properties and the least side effects.
